Contents
- Introduces the Racycle as the largest-selling high-grade bicycle, and contrasts its crank hanger, whose bearings turn in the crank hubs, with the ordinary hanger, claiming 27.9% less pressure on the bearings and one-third less strain on the chain.
- Frames are 19-gauge seamless steel tubing with long fish-mouthed reinforcements, drop-forged fork crowns and solid-bar head fittings, set against cheap $60 mail-order bicycles.
- The 1911 hanger, with a tool-steel shaft pinned to forged cranks and locked by a split nut, carries a three-year guarantee against the usual one year and adjusts without removing the cranks.
- Describes the Safety Cushion Tri-Spring Fork, which can be tightened to act as a rigid fork, and the biplane front sprockets said to make chains last three or four times longer.
- Specification pages for the Roadster (Model 165, $35), Ladies' Pacemaker (164) and a second ladies' model (163), both $40, the Yellow Flyer racer (161, $50), the Rideabout (162, $55) and the Pacemaker (160, $60), each with frame, gearing, rims, tires and Musselman brake option.
- The lower-priced Miami line, not a Racycle: men's Model 168 and ladies' Model 169, each $25 ($30 with Musselman brake), with seamless tubing and a one-piece drop-forged hanger.
- Boys' and girls' bicycles in 16- and 18-inch frames (Models 24 to 27), $22.50 to $25, with advice on measuring a child for frame height.
- A heavy-duty delivery bicycle of extra heavy seamless tubing with front and rear carriers and a basket, $40.
- Advertises the company's own armless coaster brake, fitted to most of its output, arguing against lock-washer designs and offering it guaranteed to fit any bicycle ($5 extra on most models).
- Explains the choice of saddles, Kelly handle bars, single-clinch tires, solid-bar self-oiling hubs and the lighter chain, with pictured saddle and bar styles.
- Terms of sale: cash with order, remittance by draft or money order, goods f.o.b. Middletown, Ohio, no guarantee of safe delivery; lists the addresses of the tire, saddle and handle-bar makers for complaints.
- Lists code words with their meanings, such as Express at once or Answer by wire, and words for each model and frame size (Model 160, 20-inch frame), tire size and gear.
- Closing page with a photograph of a bicycle bearing a heavy load, an advertisement for the Racycle Motorcycle catalogue, and the company's name and address.
