  The Bay City Wheelmen celebrated their 26th anniversary on June 3rd at the club rooms in San Francisco, where first president Ed Mohrig recounted the club's formation in 1884; a few ordinary bicycles were on view.

  A poem in which a child at grandmama's table imagines the blue-and-white willow-pattern china and the legend of the mandarin, Li-chi and Chang the good, who flee and are changed into birds.
• [Supreme Court decision on the will of Colonel Albert A. Pope]

  The full bench of the Massachusetts Supreme Court ruled that beneficiaries under the late Colonel Albert A. Pope's will are entitled to their legacies in Pope Manufacturing Company stock, addressing the New Jersey corporation's dissolution and the exchange of shares for the successor Connecticut company, and reassigning lapsed bequests.

  The Boston Bicycle Club's June 3rd reception and banquet honored J. C. Percy of Dublin, former president of London's Pickwick Bicycle Club and editor of the Irish Cyclist; held at the Boston Yacht Club quarters with speeches, poems and song from members including John B. Kelley, Abbot Bassett and Charles W. Reed.
