Elliott's Magazine was the official organ of the League of American Wheelmen, published monthly in Boston by Sterling Elliott, a past president of the League, with Nixon Waterman as associate editor. Its masthead keeps the older title L. A. W. Bulletin and Good Roads beneath the League seal, and it continues that publication's volume sequence, running from Vol. XXX, No. 1 in August 1899 to Vol. XXXI, No. 4 in April 1900, when the official organ passed to another publisher. Each number wraps a general-interest section of travel writing, verse and humour around the League's own pages: the Good Roads department on highway improvement, Trade Notes on the cycle trade, a small Automobiles department, and the League of American Wheelmen Official Department carrying division elections, officers' appointments, membership returns and racing-board reports signed by secretary Abbot Bassett.
