- A standing note that the latest hour for reception of copy for the "Gazette" is 5.30 p.m. on Tuesdays.
- Captain T. E. Scrutton urges every member to ride down to St. Albans on Saturday 3rd June to meet the Cambridge and Oxford University clubs, with a club photograph to be taken by the men who took the last in 1877 and several riders going on to Dunstable for the night by an almost full moon. District captains Theo. Godlee (N.E.), W. J. Williams (N.W.), the West and H. G. A. Brown (S.E.) each add their meeting points and times, Lea Bridge Road at 3.0 by West Green and Tally Ho!, Ealing Common at 3.20 to ride with the S.W. from Kew, and Shooter's Hill Road at 10.30 for those taking the whole day.
- The Captain asks members to sell tickets and obtain entries to avoid a repeat of last year's heavy loss, and lists the events, two miles handicap (open), one mile handicap (club), five miles scratch (open), ten miles scratch for the District Challenge Cup and two miles scratch for the Ladies' Challenge Cup, with entries closing 17th June at half a crown an event.
- District Captain Arthur E. Buckler announces a new feature for the 10th: a picnic with the West District in the pine woods by the lake at Wisley Hut on the Ripley road, a hamper sent down and foraging parties organised for the rest. A following note reminds members of the S.W. race meeting at Surbiton on Thursday, with Wyndham, O. Thorn, F. L. Adam, Griffith, C. A. Brown and G. F. Beck among the entries and trains from Waterloo at 5.25, 5.50 and 6.15.
- Report of the Executive meeting at 17, Ironmonger Lane on 23rd May: the Chelsea, Catford, Social, Orleans and Solihull clubs have joined, and the Executive is engaged on the Championships, "time standards" and local centre rules. Signed Wm. Pyke-English, Rep. Hon. Sec.
- A full account of the Whit Monday 100-mile road race from Cleveland Bridge, Bath, to London, with twenty-four starters and timings reported from Marlborough Hill, Hungerford, Newbury, Reading, Twyford, Maidenhead and Longford. H. R. Reynolds won the enamelled medal in 7hr. 26min. with G. F. Beck second at 7hr. 28min. 50sec., Newman and Barker credited with a dead heat for third after Barker spurted in the last yard; W. K. Adam rode fifty miles on an extempore wooden handle-bar before falling from exhaustion at Longford, and tea followed at the "Milford Arms."
- Reprinted from the "Times" of 31st May: an essay on the solitary and gregarious moods of the bicyclist, prompted by the 2,350-strong Hampton Court meet and its five-mile procession, weighing the tricycle's growing appeal against the bicycle's charm for the young fellow of nerve. It cites the London Bicycle Club's Whit Monday Bath race, fourteen of twenty-four inside nine hours, two under seven and a half, and blames coachmen's prejudice, magistrates' severity and the bugle-braying cockney for the sport's unpopularity, while crediting it with drawing young men from vicious spheres.
- Under Rule 40 the Captain sanctions members racing at the West Kent B.C. meeting at the Crystal Palace and the Belgrave Bicycle Club at Surbiton on 3rd June, and the Temple B.C. at Stamford Bridge, the Southport Athletic Sports and the Stanley B.C. at the Alexandra Palace on the 10th.
- A single advertisement: a 55-inch D.H.F. "Premier" in perfect condition with plated cranks, head and spring and parallel bearings to the front wheel, offered as a first-rate touring machine at £14 by F. L. Adam of 3, Queensborough Terrace, Hyde Park.
- The district run table: all districts to St. Albans on 3rd June to meet the C.U.Bi.C. and O.U.Bi.C., then runs to Wisley Hut, Chelsfield, Ongar, Rickmansworth, Upminster, Essendon and Thames Ditton, with the Annual Races on 24th June. The West meet at the District Stable, Savernake Cottage, Mill Hill Road, Acton, at 3.45 unless otherwise stated.
- "Rambler's" paragraphs on the Bath Trial: the Globe's announcement that the "London Boating Club" would ride from Bath to Hounslow, a plea to silence the Bath chimes on Whit-Sunday night, the winner's machine of no known species patched from several makers' parts and 8,000 miles old, and the South-East District's six medals out of ten against the eight "Ruckers" that yielded five. Also the Captain wheeling his own fifteen packages a mile to the "Milford Arms" after three small boys broke down under them, the sweep in which Price drew Reynolds for 12s. 6d., and A. C. Potter's second prize in the City of London School three miles handicap.
- E. J. and H. H. Sherriff continue their tour: a tyre coming three feet off H.'s machine near the summit before Dolgelly, dinner at the "Royal Ship," the coach road under Cader Idris to Barmouth and the "Barmouth Hotel," a rough thirteen miles to Harlech in over three hours, and the castle of Dafydd-ap-Iefan-ap-Einion. Then Maentwrog, the climb to Tan-y-Bwlch and the Pass of Aberglaslyn to Beddgelert, where the "Royal Goat" cut their bill on learning they belonged to the B.T.C.
- Alfred Herbert apologises to the first half-dozen Bath Trial competitors for the missing milk at the top of Marlborough Hill, the man he had watched start from the hotel an hour early had taken it to the cricket field instead. A second letter records that the West District Captain, too modest to say so himself, rode the whole of Clay Hill, Bushey, on the return from the Watford run of the 20th, a hill the writer had never before seen climbed.
- F. Elder is now at 2, Poet's Corner, Westminster, and E. Paxon at 23, Prospect Place, Long Ditton.
- Alfred Henry is told "Next week."
