- At the meeting of Monday 20th November, Wm. Arlagh Gardner Walter of Ford House, Wellington, Somerset and Exeter College, Oxford was elected a member, proposed by M. H. Jephson and seconded by W. F. M. Buckley. The Committee also endorsed the Bicycle Union recommendations that the Executive be free to suspend riders who race for advertisement or compete for money or value at option.
- District Captain H. G. A. Brown prints the full list of stewards and presses members for their ticket requirements ahead of the ball at the Public Hall, Croydon on Wednesday 6th December, dancing from eight till one. Tickets are 5s. for ladies and 10s. 6d. for gentlemen, and train times are given from London Bridge, Charing Cross and Victoria to East Croydon.
- Reports of Executive meetings at 17, Ironmonger Lane on 31st October and 7th November 1882: J. W. Mills and T. Sidwell of Coventry and J. Shadwick of Rugby were suspended for a year over the Brinklow Sports, Ince Pickering of Huyton was suspended for false information on his Teignmouth entry form, and the Australian Cyclists' Union was recognised as the governing body of cycling in Australia.
- The October Council meeting resolved to petition the Duke of Cambridge for permission for cyclists to enter Richmond Park, elected W. B. Gurney of Bradford Hon. Treasurer in place of S. H. Ineson, and fixed the half-yearly general meeting for Liverpool on 16th December. The Gazette welcomes the plain grey uniform jacket chosen and notes the club's strength at 6,513 on 1st November.
- Report of the Annual Dinner at the St. James's Hall Restaurant on 24th November, chaired by the President, the Hon. Ion Keith-Falconer, with M. D. Rucker and J. W. Beningfield on the founding of the Bicycle Union and Hampton Roberts proposing "Success to the London Bicycle Club." Captain T. E. Scratton reviewed a year in which average meet attendance rose to nearly 46 and announced his resignation; the President spoke of his Fifty Miles Championship win, his Land's End to John-o'-Groat's ride and a 100-mile run on a sociable tricycle with the Rev. W. R. Mowll.
- A printed seating diagram of the Annual Dinner, naming every member and guest at each place, among them S. P. Smith, P. Dutton, Theo. Godlee, A. E. Buckler, H. G. A. Brown, Ashley Barrett, C. Newman and E. W. Sewell.
- "Galley-Bell" traces the history of a 50-inch bicycle given him on condition he keep it in thorough going order, rebuilt piece by piece with new hubs, axle, spokes, cranks, handle-bar, saddle, spring, both tyres and a centres steerage in place of the old socket, until only the hind wheel, front rim, back fork and step remain original. He adds a burlesque patent for lightening racers by cutting away the middle of the backbone and the upper three-quarters of the wheels.
- T. Child's address is now 244, Evering Road, Clapton, E., and the Editor asks G. K. White to send in his present address.
- A comic serial in sixteen short chapters by "E. T. S.": Emmeline Sweeting's father's will forfeits her £27,000 unless she marries a Challenge Cup holder of the L…n A…c Club. Her two suitors and bosom friends Reginald Elbower and Percy McDouble propose in identical words on the same morning, and the Quarter-Mile Challenge Cup race she sets to decide between them ends in a dead heat.
- "Rambler" collects gossip from the Annual Dinner, the toastmaster calling for "raise silence for the toast of your President, Mr. Ashley Bartlett," Mr. Dutton's singing of "Oft in the Stilly Night," and a plea for less verbose speakers. Also notes W. J. Williams's sixty-five meets and 125 points over three seasons, and C. Newman's second prize in the Cadogan S.C. 122 yards open swimming handicap.
- Two letters replying to "J. W. L." on the special five-shilling call: the first reports that all but four members have paid, realising slightly over £48 and nearly clearing last year's deficit, while Thos. Geo. Nevill of 23, Canonbury Road objects on principle, arguing that the guinea subscription already checks the influx of new members and that no irregular increase of liability should be accepted.
