- By unanimous 74-vote ballot the Assembly elected Elmer G. Whitney (Dover, N.H.) President, Wm. M. Frisbie 1st Vice-President, Josiah S. Dean 2nd Vice-President and Augustus Nickerson Auditor, and resolved to continue the Bulletin via a five-year pledge drive and a new advertising committee headed by Henry Crowther.
- Account of the 27th Wheel About the Hub run of the Boston Bicycle Club, starting in rain from Leland Square, Roxbury, on Sept. 13; the elderly party included 77-year-old Charles W. Reed, H. W. Bullard and 73-year-old Abbot Bassett, riding a two-day route through Lake Massapoag, Mansfield, Ponkapog and Nantasket.
- Obituary of Paul Butler of Lowell, son of Gen. Benjamin F. Butler, a charter member of the Boston Bicycle Club (L. A. W. number 103) and treasurer of the United States Cartridge Company, who died of heart trouble at his Gloucester summer home.
- Open letter from newly elected President E. G. Whitney (Sept. 18, 1918) greeting the membership, urging each member to propose at least one new name, and pledging to rally support for maintaining the Bulletin.
