  Results of the 30 May council by-election: 756 votes cast, 570 valid, electing Dr Pietro Favari, engineer Piero Gavazzi, Stanislao Parboni and A. Cesare Marelli with around 555-557 votes each, while outgoing councillors Carlo Tarra, cav. Giuseppe Ricordi, avv. Mario Albrighi and Dr Giuseppe Forlanini received only single-digit write-in votes.

Cesare Marelli's opening address asking the Consular Corps and hoteliers for cooperation in securing genuine, verified discounts for members, followed by a hotel list covering Arona, Castiglione Intelvi, Civitavecchia, Cremona, Fano, Locarno, Novara, Varese, Verona and Voghera among others, plus a correction to the Albergo della Marina at Savona's advertised terms.

  An explanation of irregularities in the 30 May council election, about 200 members voted with an invalid coupon promoted by a Milan-section campaign circular, and roughly 150 more posted their ballots too late, leaving barely 500 valid votes out of some 900 cast, and promising a review of the statute's election procedure.

  The Rome section's 14 June rally to Porto d'Anzio and Nettuno, with 235 participants, reportedly the largest such ride yet held in Italy, welcomed by the mayors of both towns, a regatta, an evening ball and speeches from head consul Vito Pardo and vice-director Angelo Meregalli.

  The Como section's 7 June ride to Intra via Varese and Laveno, met by consul Cesare Boccardi and the Unione Verbanese's president Antonio Majoni for a champagne banquet at the Villa et Poste hotel.

  The Cremona section's "fragolata" strawberry outing to Crotta d'Adda, hosted at engineer Luigi Rizzi's villa with about 80 cyclists and a visit to the ruined castle of Maccastorna, led by head consul professor Cottarelli.

  The Bologna cycling rally drew over 300 riders from Modena, Ferrara, Verona, Florence and beyond, organised by consul Sandoni with a flower-strewn procession, a vermouth reception at the Chalet, and a banquet where poet-consul Olindo Guerrini (Stecchetti) read a specially written toast in verse.
