  Stanislao Parboni reports that after more than a year of negotiation the Austrian customs administration has finally accepted the club's guarantee, waiving the deposit for bicycles crossing at Ala and other posts (reproducing the Ala customs office's confirming letter of 8 November), and separately appeals for information on members Tony and Paul Leonfelden, who imported bicycles at Luino and Ventimiglia in 1897 but cannot be traced to confirm their re-export.

  Capo Console Generale Gavazzi introduces the new 1898-1900 Corpo Consolare roster, thanking the outgoing consuls (most reconfirmed) for helping grow the club to 12,000 members in three years, and saluting by name those who declined renomination or whose posts were abolished with the closure of the Milan consolato.
