  • Waller Stoned by Peasants

    Swiss rider Lesna wins the Bordeaux-to-Paris road race in 25 hours 11 minutes, while American Frank Waller falls from fifth place after being stoned by peasants and forced to dismount to protect himself; Harry Wheeler wins the Prix de Ruffec 10,000-metre scratch race separately.

  • Pacific Coast Records Broken

    The Rambler Pacific Coast team sets six new California records from standing starts at the Midwinter Fair track, including Zeigler's quarter-mile in 30.5 seconds, Wells's half-mile in 1:05.5, and Terrill's five-mile in 12:29 2/5.

  • Bliss Suffers a Defeat

    At the Midwinter Fair races in San Francisco, Dirnberger crashes with another rider and is cut up, while Bliss runs a dead heat in his heat of the mile open but is beaten in the final by Otto Ziegler in 2:59.5.

  • The New York Circuit

    New York state's June racing circuit runs from Cohoes on June 2 through Troy, Albany, Oneonta, Ilion, LeRoy, and Rochester to the divisional meet at Lockport June 15-16, with additional meets at Bridgeport and DuBois extending the programme.
