- The Brighton Star's eight-mile championship race at Bramber was won by A. Saunders from W. H. Collins (captain) by 100 yards in 29 min. 55 sec.; members of the Pickwick, Wanderers, and Rovers B.C.'s attended as spectators.
- Two bicycle races at the Burton Cricket Club ground: G. H. Taylor (S.F.B.C.) won the open Two Miles Handicap final from R. G. Bowes in 6 min. 17 sec., and H. Holden (Burton B.C.) won the closed district final from F. Hall.
- Four letters: B. M. W. P. warns of gipsies placing tin pails across Mitcham Common road to obstruct cyclists; H. B. Fletcher (Brunswick B.C., Sheffield) explains the Bicycle Union by-laws on lamps and road rights; J. W.
