Barnett — attempt a hundred-mile round trip to Delaware, covering 110 miles in just over 14 hours despite Crothers turning back ill and Kirkpatrick dropping out after 76 miles.
- Six members of the Aeolus Wheel Club of Worcester ride 136 miles from South Framingham through Natick, Ipswich, and Salem and back, breaking the American long-distance club record in 21 hours 3 minutes, with Holland and Midgley completing the full distance.
- Boston Ramblers A. H. Forbush, H. B. Smith, W. P. Haskell, and E. R. Benson ride 120 miles in a single day from Boston to South Natick, Salem, and Gloucester and back, the second-longest all-day club run yet recorded in America.
- Julius Wilcox surveys 'safety' bicycle designs meant to reduce header risk, critiquing the 'Xtraordinary Challenge's rake-based steering, the Otto and Devon patterns, and ratchet-drive machines, and promising a follow-up article on the promising Facile.
