- English cycling news: the annual Barnes tricyclist meeting drew about 500 riders on 13 May; over 2,300 wheelmen paraded at the Hampton annual bicyclists' meet on 20 May; H.L. Cortis set a new mile record of 2m. 41.5s.; and Alfred Bird and Thomas Marriott completed a 180-mile Derby-to-Holyhead road ride in under 24 hours on Humber machines, the longest tricycle road journey on record.
